Our pole is on a steep slope with no truck access. Can you still do the job?
Usually, yes. Escarpment blocks are normal work for us and we plan access before we arrive. Tell us on the phone where the pole sits, how steep the approach is and whether a vehicle can get near it, and we will bring the right gear. Where a truck genuinely cannot reach, there are other ways to set and stay a pole.
Can the pole be repaired or does it need replacing?
It comes down to the condition below the ground line. A pole pushed out of plumb with sound timber underneath can be straightened and re-stayed. A pole with a rotted butt, a split shaft or a limb-strike fracture has to be replaced. We excavate and inspect rather than judging from the surface, because on a slope a pole can look upright and still have very little holding it.
