In most cases, yes. Illawong blocks routinely put the pole well away from the street, so access is the first thing we plan. Where a truck cannot reach we use smaller plant, rigging and hand excavation. We will tell you what your site needs before we start rather than on the day.

Does the tree cover over my service line matter?
A great deal. On these blocks the tree canopy sits directly over the span for most of its length, so limb drop is the most common cause of damage. Keeping vegetation clear of the private line is the owner's responsibility and it is the cheapest storm protection available.
Can I claim the repair on home insurance?
Often, where the damage is clearly storm-related. Cover differs between insurers and pre-existing rot is commonly excluded, so read the policy wording. We supply a written condition report and photographs with the quote, which is normally what is needed to support a claim.
The power is out but the pole looks upright and undamaged. Why?
The fault is usually higher up or at the house end — a cracked cross arm, a partly torn service cable, or a failing point of attachment. On a long private run it can also be a span between two of your own poles. If neighbours have supply, the problem is on your side and it is Level 2 work.
