Emergency Make-Safe

Fallen Power Pole Make-Safe

If your private power pole is down, leaning badly, or has live cable on the ground, don't wait. We make safe across Sydney 24/7 — secure the site, isolate damaged circuits, and document for your insurer.

What does "make-safe" mean?

Make-safe is the first response to a fallen or failing private power pole. It's the fast work we do to secure the site, remove hazards, and document damage so you're safe, legal, and ready to lodge an insurance claim — before the full replacement happens in the days that follow.

It's a prerequisite for permanent work, and it's what every Sydney insurer expects before they approve a pole replacement claim.

Do this BEFORE we arrive

Stay back 10+ metres

Assume all wires are live. Wires can energise fences, puddles, even wet grass. Keep kids and pets inside.

Call the network first

Ausgrid 13 13 88 or Endeavour Energy 13 10 03. They'll isolate street-side supply at no cost.

Photograph from distance

Take photos of the pole, surroundings, and visible cause (tree, vehicle, etc.) before anything is moved.

Call us

Once the street side is isolated, call a Level 2 electrician. That's the only contractor legally allowed to work on your private pole.

Our make-safe process

  1. Rapid dispatch. Crew on the way within hours of your call, Sydney-wide.
  2. Site control. Establish a safety zone, direct any spectators back, confirm network has isolated street supply.
  3. Assess and photograph. Full photo record of pole, hardware, service cable, and surroundings for your insurer.
  4. Isolate damaged circuits. Cut back damaged service cable, lock out at your meter box, remove any dangling hardware.
  5. Temporary support or supply. Prop or cut-down unsafe pole sections. Rig temporary supply where feasible so your home has power.
  6. Report and schedule permanent fix. Written incident report to you and your insurer, urgent permit lodged with the network, replacement scheduled.
