It makes the work more urgent, not less. A pole already carrying a defect has less margin, which is often why it failed. We handle defect notice rectification as part of the same job and lodge the completion notification with Endeavour Energy so the notice is properly cleared.
Should we replace it with composite?
For an exposed yard it is worth serious thought. Composite poles do not rot at the ground line, do not split in extreme heat and are not a termite target, so they hold their strength far longer than timber in the open. The install cost is higher and the whole-of-life cost usually is not.
